U-CARE: Ukraine Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer ECHO
Global Medical Knowledge Alliance (GMKA), in partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center and Project ECHO, is delivering U-CARE: Ukraine Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer ECHO, a year-long educational program for Ukrainian physicians involved in breast cancer care.
The program is designed to help Ukrainian healthcare professionals strengthen their expertise in breast cancer care, navigate complex clinical cases, and apply the latest evidence-based approaches in their daily practice.
Participants learn directly from specialists at MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the world's leading cancer centers. MD Anderson ranks No. 1 in the United States for cancer care in the 2026–2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings, holding the top spot for 12 consecutive years.
The live, interactive sessions are designed for a select group of Ukrainian physicians participating in the GMKA–MD Anderson collaboration. To extend the program's reach, lecture recordings will also be made available to the public. They will be released on GMKA's YouTube channel and website throughout the program, giving healthcare professionals across Ukraine access to insights and expertise from leading international specialists.
Who Is the Program For?
U-CARE brings together physicians from a range of specialties involved in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and patient care, including surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, palliative care physicians, and other members of multidisciplinary care teams.
How Does the Program Work?
U-CARE follows the ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) model, which combines expert-led education with discussions of real-world clinical cases. This approach helps participants translate new knowledge into clinical practice and work through complex treatment decisions alongside experienced specialists.
Each online session includes:
- A 30-minute lecture by an MD Anderson Cancer Center expert, covering current evidence and best practices in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- An interactive Q&A session, where participants can ask questions and explore practical aspects of the topic.
- Clinical case discussions, where Ukrainian physicians present cases from their own practice and discuss clinical challenges and treatment options with MD Anderson experts.
By bringing together physicians from different specialties, the program creates opportunities to share expertise, discuss challenging treatment decisions, and strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration.
Only the lecture recordings will be publicly available. Q&A sessions and clinical case discussions will remain exclusive to program participants.
